BMW E30 325i Convertible Motorsport Edition

FOR SALE: A rare manual gearbox Motorsport Edition. The 325 i Motorsport convertible was introduced in 1988 as an alternative in the UK to the M 3 convertible that was only available in LHD. The Motorsport was produced in limited numbers and colours. a total of 590 were produced for the UK between 1988 and 1991 in the following colour combinations: 40 in 1988 (Chrome bumper) in Macao Blue 250 in 1989 in Nogaro Silver or Macao Blue 250 in 1990 Sebring Grey or Macao Blue 50 in 1991 in Calypso Red or Maruritus Blue with Lotus white nappa leather. The limited edition run featured extended leather to the seats. doors. side panels. centre and tunnel consoles. M-technic sports suspension. M-technic sports steering wheel. body coloured mirrors and bumpers and black satin chrome (fully de-chromed). This 325 i Motorsport is presented in handsome Macao blue paintwork and comes with the rare manual gearbox option. The body work is in good order and the Motorsport spec Macao blue paintwork. still shows a beautiful metallic sparkle. The only negatives to be found on the paintwork are the usual stone chips to the front of the car and the bonnet and a small amount of corrosion above the front bumper trim. All of the black waistline trim. window surrounds and both bumpers remain in good condition with no scuffs dents to be found. some of the black plastic trim is starting to fade but could be brought back up to spec with a but of TLC. Smaller details such as the BMW badges and lights remain free from blemishes or cracks. The blue convertible soft top roof is in excellent condition with no marks or tears. complimenting the cars paint work perfectly. The plastic rear screen remains clear and free from any damage. Inside. the 325 is upholstered in beautiful stitched silver leather. the seats boasting the famous tri-colour Motorsport lapels. Other than a small amount of wear to the drivers bolster. the seats are in fine condition. The rear seats are in especially good condition with very little wear to be found whatsoever. The stitched silver leather continues along the centre console and door panels which remains free from scuffs and marks. this additional leather helps to give the 325 a more luxurious feel than other non-motorsport editions. The roof lining of the soft top is in excellent condition as is the grey carpet throughout the car. The Motorsport comes with 15" X-spoke BMW alloy wheels. On close inspection there are some kerb marks to be found on the wheels. a refurbishment would be ideal but by no means essential. The wheels are shod in a matching set of Goodyear tyres that all have plenty of tread remaining. The 325 i was first registered on the 1 st of August 1989 and delivered to the supplying dealer Prophets Garage in the West Midlands. It comes with a fully stamped service booklet. the first 10 years services were undertaken by the supplying dealer and from then on it was inspected by independent and main dealer garages. The last service was in November 2012 by Rybrook BMW. The current owner has spent over 4 K at BMW in the past year which has included a cambelt service. In the history file there are old MOT certificates and invoices for work carried out as well as the BMW booklets and owners manuals.
