Full respray in Jan 2011 in "Mc Queen" slate grey. Body off rebuild by previous owner in Nov 2012 which consisted of repairs to box section chassis. new floor and tunnel. new shocks. steering and suspension joints. brake pipes and flexibles. discs. pads. cables. rubbers. carpets. nuts. bolts. etc. etc. Done approx. 1600 miles since then. It is correctly registered as GPC on the V 5 (in my name). the company that bought Covin was Grand Performance Cars hence GPC. Tax exempt (historic vehicle)MOT 16 th June 2017 (no advisories)
Engine: 1600 cc air-cooled twin port. told by previous owner it has only done around 4. 00 miles. no crank end float. Upgraded to a Bosch alternator. New this year. genuine twin weber 34 ict carburettors with CB performance twin port inlets with balance pipe and new CSP bell crank carb linkage. electric fuel pump. sump plate. magnetic plug. oil and various gaskets. New chrome dress up parts on engine.

Exhaust: New this year EMPI loud dual exhaust system plus manifold with extended stainless steel tailpipes.

Interior: 993 black electric leather seats with green piping. Momo steering wheel. Excellent headlining and carpets. Porsche dials with working speedo. rev counter. fuel gauge. oil pressure gauge. clock. aux 12 volt socket. Electric windows. Sony stereo/cd with electric aerial. Fire extinguisher. Door pockets not fitted (supplied but will need attention).

Tyres & Wheels: Matching tyres all round with excellent tread. one rear tyre done less than 300 miles. Lovely rare revolution wheels that help give it the 70's look.

Body: Overall in very good condition with a few very small cracks on the seams and some minor damage on the rear nearside wing which does not show in the photos. Being a kit car there are jobs that can be done to improve it even further. Also it is quite noisy (sports exhaust) and the suspension is very firm. Done approx. 300 miles since the MOT in June and being a light car it performs very well and is a great fun car.
