1979 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class for sale

I have owned the car for over 3 years and spent a fortune on it. Time to let it go. This is a very rare Mercedes Benz SL series. 280 SL European version. This is a European car with all the distinctive European model characteristics including the more elegant and close-to-the-body bumpers. and the single rectangular headlights. Convertible with two tops. Soft top in good shape (will need some stretch as it has been under the hardtop for too long. Recent overall paint job.
Brand new interior (seats. carpets. dash. wood console).
The car is mechanically sound. Starts right up. runs and drives well. Engine runs and sounds good. The 4-speed transmission shifts good. All fluids up to date. Brakes and suspension are in great shape. Lights. turn signals. wipers radio heater all work. The tires are almost new and wheels are in great shape. The two door are missing the side molding but will be included in the sale.
There are a couple of small rust bubbles that resurfaced on the trunk lid.
Clear title in NJ. No liens.
I tried to describe everything I know about the car. However. this is still a 37 years old car. It is sold AS IS with no warranty. I encourage buyers to come and check it out or have it inspected.
