Up for auction is this HISTORIC 1930 MG "M" Type

imported from the UK in 1977 and restored to as

original condition as possible using photos from when

the car was new. I have a file of correspondence

from

the owner in 1932 verifying the car's early history

which was traced from the original plates. The car has

an extensive Trials and Brooklands history where it

featured in time trials. I have a number of medals won

by the owner from that time. While the history goes

with the car the medals are NOT for sale.

The car is in showroom condition as it has been on

display since restoration in the early 1980 s. I believe

the 847 cc engine is original but it does need a

recondition. It comes with a spare engine block which

has been prepared to fit brand new Hepalite pistons. /

also included. It is fitted with a 4 speed gearbox and

comes with spares including a 3 speed box and a diff.

Best suited to a buyer who intends to preserve its history

and run sparingly due to its age.
