ABSOLUTELY AMAZING 10th ANNIVERSARY TRANS AM

I am assisting a long time personal friend and neighbor in selling his ORIGINAL OWNER. BARN FIND - TRANS AM. We have been personal friends since school days and I have also known this beautiful Trans Am since he purchased it new 38 years ago. It now has 2013 Miles.

It is completely original. un-molested. un-restored and un-touched. This car is so factory original that it includes the original Uniroyal raised letter tires with absolutely no cracks or dry rot and still containing the original air from the factory. This car has been covered and stored in a heated garage since new. It has not been driven since 1985. but engine has been started periodically and oil drained and replaced periodically.

After initial photos were taken inside the garage. we uncovered the car and pulled it outside for additional photos. The exterior. interior. engine compartment and undercarriage have not been cleaned and left untouched. Consequently you will see over 30 years of dust and cobwebs in areas like engine compartment and undercarriage. INTERIOR STILL LOOKS & SMELLS FACTORY NEW. Considering the originality of this car. we have decided it was best to leave the decision and level of detailing to the new owner.

We have many additional photos of this car. but ebay motors only allows up to 24 using their photo posting system. The owner has the original PA from 1979 in hand.

This beautiful Tran Am starts as it should at the turn of the key. The engine runs smooth and quiet and sounds as nice as the day it left the factory. with absolutely no abnormal noises or fluid leaks. A new factory original Delco (side terminal) battery purchased through General Motors has just been installed to insure proper starting. The original catalytic converter was removed in 1979 and a test pipe installed in its place. The original catalytic converter is not on the car. however it is still in factory new condition and will be included with the car.

The original R-12 Air Conditioning system has never been touched however the compressor does engage when switch is turned to AC. We have not run the car long enough to adequately test the AC system for cooling.

 EXTERIOR:

This Trans Am has 100% factory original paint. It has a few minor original factory imperfections. but no attempt has ever been made to touch up anything. These cars were not absolutely perfect when they left the factory. so this car is as it was delivered by the dealer. Because the car has been covered and stored in a heated garage its entire life. the original factory paint and decals are still as nice as original factory production standards. All rubber seals including doors. trunk. T-tops. windows etc. are also still in  factory new condition.

 INTERIOR:

The LEATHER interior on this Trans Am is completely ORIGINAL. un-touched and as nice as the day it left the factory. When you get inside this Trans Am. the interior still SMELLS NEW. The carpets have been covered since new. until photos were taken. The shag carpet has also never been touched. cleaned or even vacuumed before photos were taken. There may be some shadowing in the photos. but we assure you the interior including shag carpet is as factory new.

A deposit of $1000 is due in 3 days of close of auction. Balance due within 7 days of end of auction. Payment to be certified bank check or wire transfer. Payment will be made directly to the owner of the vehicle. Other terms must be negotiated with the seller in advance.
