1970 MGB ROADSTER GREEN - THOUSANDS SPENT - RUST FREE MGB CONVERTIBLE
1970 MGB Roadster in British racing green. the car was taken off the road in 2007 and had a considerable amount of work carried out over the past 3 years with thousands spent. the car is mostly complete with loose parts labelled and boxed.
BodyThe body is completely solid with NO RUST. it has had complete new floors. new inner and outer sills. new castles. new half rear wings and replacement front wings and the work was carried out by a professional MG Specialist in Oxfordshire. the body is now ready for painting. no welding is needed!
Engine & GearboxThe engine and box are the original units. the engine was completely reconditioned in 2005 at a cost of over £1600 alone and the engine has covered 22k miles since then. the engine runs really well with great oil pressure and has excellent compression. The gearbox selects all gears well and had no nasty noises when changing gear.
InteriorThe interior is to the original specification. which is black vinyl seats with D type headrest and black trim. the trim is all there and in good order.
ExteriorThe windscreen and glass are all in good order with no cracks. tc. the hood frame is complete but it will need a new hood fabric. I was going to get this fitted last once completed. the MGB has the original rostyle wheels fitted which could probably do with a good cleaning/blast.
Brakes & SuspensionThe brakes and suspension were recently overhauled and all ready to go and fitted to the car. with discs on the front and drum on the rear.
The MGB has had thousands spent recently and losing my garage space is the only reason I'm not finishing this car. which was valued at £10. 00 before being taken off the road for a full restoration and that was in 2007. prices have increased since then.
The car is mostly complete. missing the hood fabric and grille only from what I have gone through and everything is boxed and goes with the car.
HistoryThe MGB comes with a large history file with nearly every MOT and includes all the receipts and bills of what has been spent both recently and in the past. the bodywork alone cost £2. 00 18 months ago. Comes complete with V5c and the car is on a 'H' registered 1st April 1970. the car has historic tax.
Starting bid of 99p with low reserve. viewing welcome/ delivery available at extra cost.
You won't find one that is as solid and with no rust as this one. an ideal project which just requires painting and then reassembling.
