Morris "Round Nose" 1971 Classic Mini Project in ACT

This is a project car! It will need some work on your behalf to bring it to a roadworthy state so don't bid if you think all it needs is some cutting and polishing!
Engine: The engine is in good running order with compression has been tested dry. cold at 157. 170. 165. and 160 psi. The motor has been run recently on fresh fuel from a jerry can. Transmission: Clutch and transmission were fully functional when last driven some time ago. The drive shaft seals need replacing. A new clutch master has been fitted. Fuel system: Carburettor has been rebuilt with new jet. needle and seat. throttle shaft. throttle plate and screws. Tank has been drained (purposefully - there are no leaks!). and a new Facet-type low pressure electric fuel pump and filter fitted. Electrical: A functional. used internal-regulator alternator has been fitted. No battery supplied. No front indicators (some cheapskate had fitted round trailer lamps. ). Interior: The driver's seat is an aftermarket Momo seat fitted on sliding rails. The standard passenger seat base has some splits in the vinyl. The rear seats are in fairly good condition. Heater/demister included but condition unknown (will probably need demister ducts). Instruments: Includes standard instruments fitted to the centre binnacle. Speedometer appearance is poor due to a previous windscreen leak. LHS and RHS vinyl dash trim missing though these are DIY items. Glassware: Includes all glassware and is in good condition with no cracks or bull-eyes. Body: Has had new left-hand and right-hand front floor pans fitted. Also has had new inner and outer A-pillar panels fitted on the right-hand side (capping strip not yet replaced). A full-length sill panel has also been fitted on the right-hand side. Left-hand side A-panel looks ok. but front of the sill might need a bit of work. A small area in each of the front and rear windscreen flanges has had metal patches welded in. The front apron (like most of them) requires some straightening. Gutters are good. Bumpers. grill. and brow require new chrome and some minor straightening. Brakes: Has had new wheel cylinders fitted years ago before the project ground to a standstill.

In summary. the major things it needs are tyres. carpet. battery. chrome. paint and TLC. Some specific minor things needed are front and rear windscreen seals. side window seals. door seals. front indicators. and interior light cover. Many of these minor things will be offered as NOS parts in separate e Bay sales. All information is provided to the best of my ageing memory - please ask if you have a specific query.
