VW Splitscreen Double Cab 1966 - Very Rare - in awesome condition for the year

Re-advertised due to a eBay messer/dreamer.

VW  Split Screen Double Cab kombi/bus. This is an African - DR Congo import  (LHD)

German Built - Not Brazilian

This is an extremely rare classic VW Double Cab Splitscreen LHD in original Blue colour. This will be an ideal RESTORATION PROJECT . she is in really good condition for her age (50 years old) and will need full restoration . the engine is present and I'm hoping to have it running within days. all the paperwork is ready for the new owner to register in their name. HMRC . customs duties and tax paid. DVLA- NOVA cert . his will be a rare fantasticproject for any VW fanatic. this BUS is for project/ restoration. It is complete. she is extremely good for her age and she is still in her original paint. I personally imported this bus back from DRC Africa.

She even has her original keys (however they are with my African partner!!! (The buyer will receive them in due coarse)

It will require minimal lower panel work. the main chassis is in great condition.

The upper body is in very good condition with some beauiful patina & light surface rust. nbsp; usual lower 6" bottom skirt work. The main chassis rails are good. and the I-beams look solid. but it needs the usual outriggers. jacking points. inner & outer sills. rear corners. rear cab floors . All of this is obviously available off the shelf in the UK from Schofields. AutoCraft. etc

Super patina that can only be acheived with 50 years of ageing.

I fully understand everyone wants a bargin and a deal they can be proud of. however as you know these buses are hard enough to find let alone import with all the hassles etc and from Africa it is 10 times worst believe me. and not that cheap that I can give them away. So if this bus does not reach the market value conservitive reserve price they will be kept untill such times it does sell for market value. These 3 buses I have for sale had to be transported out of the bush. across four African countries and shipped back to the UK. Obviously the details/hassles will be of no interest to you but I wear the battle scares of the operations carried out so they will not be sold under market value. although I'm always happy to have a deal.

Please ask yourself how often do you see double cab projects come up for sale???
