Here we have for sale is a totally original 1964 Oldsmobile 98 Rocket Luxury Pillarless Sedan Finished in a solid white with original blue interior and having only covered 25383 miles.
She was originally ordered new from Mrs Jean Anne Wheeler-Bowler of Ohio in 1964. who kept her until 1988 and by that time it had only covered a mere 18000 miles. It was then exported to the UK and registered to a gentleman in East Sussex. who owned the Olds until August 2009. Then she was bought by the previous owner at 24242 miles.
She is running a 6457 cc (394 cu in) V 8 Rocket engine which was the largest of the Rocket engines available which is mated to an automatic gearbox. Options from the factory fitted to the car were. Centre Control Air Conditioning. Colour Coded Seat Belts. Vacuum Operated Boot Lit Control. De-Luxe Push Button Radio. Safety Padded Dash Top and Pale Blue Foam Cushioned Seats.
The Olds was featured in a seven page article in Classic American Magazine in August 1995 (copy with the sale). The piece commented on how pristine this 1964 Oldsmobile Luxury Sedan really is. We also have the last eighteen old MOT certificates with the vehicle.
