1959 Lincoln Continental Mark IV for sale
Current customer rating:
I'm selling my 1959 Lincoln Continental Mark IV 2-Door hardtop with 35. 00 original miles.
I have the title in my name.
This is one of 1. 03 2-door Continentals built in '59.
The car had 33. 00 miles on it when I bought it about 6 years ago.
I believe the mileage to be correct by the overall condition of the car. and the way it handles.
It looks and drives like a 30 k mile car.
One of the rear brake drums still had the original speed nut on it from the factory when I bought the car.
Overall the car is in great shape. and I drive it almost like a daily driver.
I have taken long highway trips with it. and short trips around town.
I've driven it in minus 10 degree weather. and when it was almost 100 outside.
With no issues.
This Lincoln is quiet. and rides down the road with ease.
There are no cracks or chips in the glass.
The original weather stripping seals very well.
Although it has always been a midwestern car. it doesn't have any rust issues.
All the power windows work.
This includes the side windows. the power vent windows. and the rear breezeway window.
The dash lights work as well as the power seat and the heater.
If you are familiar with these cars. you will be pleased to see the original dash lens is not cracked down the middle.
Also. the dash pad is not sagged as much as most are.
The original trunk lining is still there as well as the jack and instructions.
I've always looked to this car as an example of how to restore my other '59 Lincoln.
Here is some of what I've done for the car while I've owned it:- new battery 2 months ago- new correct tires about 2 years ago- transmission rebuilt last winter- carb. rebuilt about 3 years ago
