I have for sale my 1971 resto cal beetle. i have owned the vehicle for over 2 years now and have used it more or less nearly everyday back and forth work etc.

It has only recentley had a new reconditioned 1600 engine which has twin carbs for improved top end speed. Even over the cold winter months. 2 pumps of the accelerator pedal and the turn of the key and it starts every time. My only reason for selling is that we are looking to buy a T5 to accomadate my wifes business and also for camping.

Below are some of the important things:

* Mot'd till Aug 2013- never had any major issues with any Mot ive had over the past 2 years. The car has been described as solid and apart from the odd brake pad. it hasnt had any major works.

* The car is tax exempt!!!

* The overall bodywork of the car is in really good condition. The odd small bubble. mark & scratch here and there. but as you can seen from the pictures unless picked over with a fine toothcomb. the car is eye catching and is one hell of a headturner.

* The floor plan is in solid condition and the car suffers from no leaks.

As you can expect from a car of this age it does have its outstanding jobs to repair and complete and with my job being so demanding i havn't had the time and personally felt they where that urgent that they needed repairing asap. All the below issues i have had on the car more or less just after i have bought the car and in no way bothered me in the 2 years of daily driving:

* Drivers side window currentley doesnt wind up and down. I have been lowereing the window by dragging it down with my hand then lifting eva side side when i stop. not a major fix but wish to mention every negative.

* Electrics need a looking at as the following are currentley not working: Horn. rev counter. oil temp and lights are legal but often run fairly dim. But as states above these jobs have been outstanding for nearly almost 2 years and have never been an issue when going for an MOT.

* The car does have 12 cd multichanger but currnetley the radio only works which presets everytime you turn off the ignition. Again never had it looked at but only recentley happenend.

To me these jobs are extremeley minor as i have lived. drove and enjoyed the car without any of these working. But i wanted to raise every minor issue before people even consider seeing the car. All these jobs need is someone with a little bit of know how or alot more time than i have!
