Vehicle Description:

For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is an angry 1968 Plymouth Barracuda. Why is it angry you ask? Because it is sitting still. This car was build to MOVE. Here’s the recipe that puts this motor at an estimated 500 hp. Start with a 340 CID V 8. with fully CNC ported aluminum heads. Victor intake. MSD management. rev limiter and distributor. and balanced and lightened forged pistons with valve relief. Toss in a Comp Cams camshaft that. with the 1. 6 ratio rocker arms. has an effective lift of . 582. and you’ve got plenty of motivation to turn the light weight aluminum flywheel. But what good is power if you can’t put it to the ground? A 3500 lb pressure plate clamps down hard on a Kevlar puck clutch disc. all wrapped up in a scatter shield. The drive shaft is new. wrapped in a safety loop. and is fitted with 1350 series u-joints. Transferring power to the ground is a Dana 60 with 3. 73 gears. and 35-spline Strange Axles. The Weld wheels are mounted on 3” hardened studs. and wrapped in new Nitto 555 R Extreme Drag tires. Warp drive on this rocket ship is engaged with a Chrysler A 833 4 speed manual. and using a Hurst Competition Plus shifter with the classic pistol grip handle. Helping keep all of this brute force in check are welded frame connectors. a completely new front suspension. new sway bars. and super stock leaf springs with offset shackles. The task of bringing everything back down to a halt falls on 4 wheel power disc brakes with a new master cylinder. new booster. and a Willwood adjustable proportion valve.

With all of this. you would expect this Barracuda to be a stripped out race car. However. this car is still very streetable. In the interior you will find new seat covers and foam front and rear. new upper and lower dash pads. a new headliner. new windshield and gaskets. new weather stripping on the door and roofrail. and new door panels. The rear window. arguably the most iconic piece of the first generation Barracuda. is the original glass. and it is in great shape. Back on the exterior. the grill and tail panel have been restored. the taillight lenses are new. and the hood has the hard to find “340” hood emblems.

If you are looking for a muscle car that remembers what it means to be a muscle car. then look no further. This mean Barracuda will not disappoint!
