For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1949 Oldsmobile Holiday 98 Hardtop.

This was the first year for the hardtop and for the overhead valve V 8.

The miles on this car are original at 42. 82.

The restoration took the car down to bare metal inside and out.

It was epoxy primed and repainted the original Almond Green with white accent roof color in base coat clear coat.

The bumpers were both re-chromed. the interior was in such great condition that only the leather and the carpet were in need of replacement.

During the restoration. the engine was rebuilt and now has 2. 00 miles on it. the suspension oats are either new or rebuilt. new brakes. rebuilt wiper motor. rebuilt radio and clock. new roof rails. new door sills. all chrome re-plated. all new rubber seals and all new correct wire harnesses.

This car is ready to hit the open road or the local cruise-in.

This 1949 Oldsmobile Holiday 98 Sport Coupe has the Rocket OHV V 8 with 303 cubic inches.

The transmission is a Hydra Matic automatic.

Other equipment consist of dual mirrors windshield washers. deluxe heater. defrosters. wire wheel covers. factory power windows and power seats.

Only 3. 06 Sport Coupes were sold in 1949 with a total production of around 93. 00 making this a very rare automobile.
