Here i have for sale my sisters Series 3 its the 88 inch short wheel base with the 2. 25 petrol engine. I bought this truck for her back in feb as she fancied something a little different. well no power steering. 40 year old brakes and 45 miles per hour soon changed her mind and now she wants to get into a defender. nbsp;As you can see the old girl is in great condition. really gets loads of attention and is one of the cleanest i have seen. its showing 14500 miles i believe this to be wrong as it has not changed since our ownership but the speedo works fine. The truck starts on the button every time. nbsp;runs well and pulls well in all gears. its old. noisy and a bit of a bone shaker but thats the charm. There are as you would expect of a truck off these years and price a few jobs to do as there always is with all land rovers. the faults i can find are that the fuel tank is porous and needs replacing and the trust bearing is noisey and needs either replacing or getting at with some oil or grease.
The body is in very good order as you can see from the pics but it is hand painted green but still looks great. the doors are all in excellent condition and i think the tops are fairly new. the front seating has all been replaced and is nearly new. br>All said and done this is a 40 year old land rover and has to be treated as such. its not in showroom condition but is very clean and tidy. that said it still requires some work and will always require some upkeep so must be viewed as a rolling restoration project.
