Exremely Rare Mango Find.

VW  Split Screen kombi/bus. This is an African - DR Congo import  (LHD)

German Built - Not Brazilian 

1960 (Sept) VW Split Screen Micro Bus (Nine seater) Chassis number: 670504 (no engine)

Desireable Bullet indicator model.

This is an extremely rare classic VW Double Door Splitscreen LHD in its original Mango colour. This will be an ideal RESTORATION PROJECT . she is in really good condition for her age (56 years old) and will need full restoration . the engine is not present. all the paperwork is ready for the new owner to register in their name. HMRC . customs duties and tax paid. DVLA- NOVA cert . his will be a rare fantasticproject for any VW fanatic. this BUS is for project/ restoration. It is complete. she is extremely original good for her age and she is still in her original paint. I personally imported this bus back from DRC Africa.

Once you see all the images you will see the interior is very original down to the fabrics.

It will require minimal lower panel work. the main chassis is in great condition.

The whole body is in very good condition with some beauiful patina & very light surface rust. nbsp; usual lower 6" bottom skirt work. The main chassis rails are good. and the I-beams look solid. but it needs the usual outriggers. jacking points. inner & outer sills. rear corners. floors . All of this is obviously available off the shelf in the UK from Schofields. AutoCraft. etc

Super patina that can only be acheived with 56 years of ageing and wear.

Just to let everyone know the front clip is the original one. yes the original. it has just had a bad paint job. You can actually see the original colour on the top L/H corner of the window frame. The evidence to prove this can be seen very easily from the inside. I had some muppet stress it had been badly replaced !!!
