The car was originally a Red and White Dolly. The seats are therefore upholstered with the grey. quilted jersey material which is in excellent condition.
In 2006. the previous owner had the vehicle restored by Deux Chevaux Lincolnshire. Wings were prepared and painted white as was the boot lid. Repairs were carried out on the bodyshell where necessary i. e. floor quarters. B and C post bottoms all replaced and zinc primed before painting.
Top quality fibreglass rear wings were fitted with Robri trims adorning the front leading edges. Dolly stickers were removed from the doors and only a red pinstripe from front to rear remains.
The car was rebuilt onto a top quality galvanised chassis. manufactured by GW Fabrications. using new brake pipe. Recent shockers and a complete exhaust system have been fitted and the car is running on New Toyo 135 tyres. It has been fitted with a towbar. which has not been used.
Latest additions and improvements include a new roof and front bumper. new engine and gearbox mounts. new Ecas Super Coil Kit. new Bosch Battery. new oil breather. new rocker covers. new heater tubes including Burton rubber wing fittings. 123 ignition. The engine and gearbox are quiet and smooth as befits a car with this low mileage.
The service schedule shows the last main dealer stamp 03/06/03 and a mileage of 33068. It is now reading just 35000!
Thoroughly waxoiled throughout. the car is rust-free. the galavanised chassis is polished underneath - ready to show or use as a reliable Daily Driver! With fully restored 2 CVs now bringing in excess of £12000. this one is a bargain and on sale at £8250 firm. Part of my private collection which I am downsizing. It is kept garaged. protected by a tailor made soft stretch cover and the battery is 'optmised' on a battery conditioner when not in use. The engine bay can only be described as 'Immaculate'. Lots of history including original bill of sale! invoices etc.
