Up for sale is a classic 1980 Mercedes Benz 350sl R107 convertible with hard and soft top model. It is being sold as spares or repair or a restoration project as the V8 engine is seized believed that the timing chain has snapped it has been off the road since 2009.  
Before this it was a car that was looked after and has a big history file with paperwork etc with many big bills including a previous engine rebuild at over £2000 and then a gearbox repair at another £1000 plus many other bits in the filing.
The Bodywork is generally good for its age but has bubbling to arches and rear wing front wings seem good. the paint is flat and lacquer is poor. The interior is a bit dirty and dusty but will clean up well.
I am selling this on behalf of a neighbour who has decided to sell one of 2 of these cars that he has decided he will never get round to restoring it to its former glory. We have agreed with him on a price of £3500 but open to offers as these cars vary in value so much and if this car was broken for parts it would make far more money as so many good parts
