PORSCHE 944 TURBO S2. M030 (1988)

Welcome to the sale of my 1988 Porsche 944 Turbo in Guards Red.

I purchased this 944t  from the former keeper back in October 2012. The previous owner was an enthusiast & himself had 2 early model 944 turbos.   He sold as he was a fan of earlier shaped 944's & needed to spend more time on his other projects.    It was in great condition & I still have the original advert for anyone wishing to look over cars history.   Following purchase I took the car to JMG (944 specialist) in Bournemouth for cambelt & pulleys change & one of their detailed inspection reports.    Due to age of car several issues were highlighted & for the next year or so.  I systematically addressed each issue resulting in a spend totalling close to 8 or 9k  (not totalled up invoices).    Note during this time I also had certain works carried out on a ‘'while your in that area'' basis for complete peace of mind.

In the 3. 5 years I have owned the car she has been garaged every night. unless I was away on a trip. cleaned after every major outing & regular attention paid to fluid levels & general well being.

I have covered approx. 6000 miles in its ownership & the majority of these are from 3 trips to Europe.   (2 to Germany & 1 to the alps)   Each time the car has performed effortlessly & without drama.   Additional miles are general bi weekly runs to keep the car mechanically agile & a few trips to places such as Dorset/Wales with like minded friends.

The car has 5 owners on the log book.   The first 4 owners were in fact 2 owners since they moved the log book into private & business names a few times for tax reasons.  I managed to contact the 2nd owner recently & have her number somewhere for clarification.

The car feels tight & this is reflected in the time & money spent getting this 944 to a high quality.    The replacement of lots of various parts has been very rewarding & true to many websites & blogs on the net. the 944 turbo is a truly amazing car to drive.    Not only does she carry herself gracefully around the tightest of bends. but equally performs well  compared to a lot of modern rivals.   Just search the web for similar comments / videos & you will see for yourself.

The car still retains its original spare Vredestein spare wheel along with the Porsche compressor & Porsche tool kit.

The reason for sale is to finance a property purchase.    I love this car to bits & know I will regret selling. but sometimes you have to use your brain & not your heart!   .

I have made some subtle changes to the cars appearance as per below. but have kept all of the original parts with exception of the wheels.    These are painted in black and if the new owner wanted to these could easily be repainted in original.

Steering wheel

Front indicator lenses

Rear wiper delete

Exhaust

This really is a 944 worth buying.   It hardly wants for nothing. and even the previous owners history has some crucial maintenance mentioned such as clutch. flywheel &master cylinder replacement.

I can be contacted on 07796 442774 if you would like to discuss any of the above. or require additional photos or videos.

Viewings welcome. but please no time wasters. tyre kickers or test pilots.
