For sale is this very clean. very tidy and very rare 1968 Mustang GT/CS "California Special".
The Mustang GT/CS was First designed by Carroll Shelby as a concept mustang coupe in 1967 called "Little Red". Little Red was powered by a 428 FE. C 6 trans and a 9" rear axle. In late 1967 the Ford Mustang coupe was suffering with poor sale numbers. so once again Ford teamed up with Shelby to produce the GT/CS for 1968 to improve sales numbers in California. with a total off just over 4. 00 units produced in total and just over 1. 00 of them optioned with a manual transmission. which makes this Manual GT/CS quite a rare car.

This Mustang is 100% Rust free and has all its original running gear including 289 Engine. Trans ( Ford Toploader RUG-E 2 28-spline). Axle ( Ford 8" WCZ-V 1 2. 79:1)

This car runs. drive and sounds amazing.
The Engine has a couple of bolt on goodies. Edelbrock Performer RPM Intake. Edelbrock Performer Electric choke carb. MSD Distributor. MSD 6 AL Ignition Box and Long Tube Headers.
It has also had some other performance upgrade which have been done in the last year including Graba-Track 4-1/2 rear leaf springs. Koni Adjustable Shocks. BFGoodrich Radial TA tyres. Torque thrust D wheels and more.
The interior is in exceptional condition with new carpet. Hurst Shifter. new shifter gator and surround. new dash bezel and side trim and more.
