Mk 3 escort estate. 2 door shell 56 k on the clock. poo brown. 12 months MOT. 7 owners.
Please understand that this car was absolutely standard when i got it so i know everything about it. this isn't a car passed about by people bodging it and not finishing it etc. So i value this car a lot as it literally ticks all the boxes (if your in to fast poo brown coloured escorts i guess)
I know i will miss loads as i have replaced 90% of every nut and bolt on this car but please don't waste my time if you don't have the money or real interest into buying my car. thank you!
Shell:
only welding done was battery tray. no welding is required this shell is in excellent condition! All original ford panels all round!!front end had stone chips and marks so i had front end freshened up. there is a few minor marks in the paint but it cleans up lovely!!
Interior:
This was a base spec so had tough carpet. i replaced it and added sound deadening. Then centre console and handbrake surround with better spec handbrake. complete RS 1600 i front and back seats and door cards (age related marks and a bolster repair but solid seats) Central locking and electric windows put in. Custom rear parcel shelf Rear seat belts put in.
Exterior:
Straight shell in poo brown. new carrell chrome top headlights. new clear indicators. metal german style plates. RS 1600 i front bib in excellent condition.
lowered 60 mmfront new standard shockskoni adjustable rears S 1 front anti roll barcomplete car is polybushed with power flex not cheap alternative. vibretechnic gearbox mounts
8. 5" rear banded steels - 8" fronts. all matching toyo proxes 195/45/14
s 2 front brakes with drilled and grooved discs. 2 wd cosworth rear brake disc conversionbraided lines all round
Engine:
2. 1 zetec turbo c 20 let pistonsarp rod boltsported and polished head gasket matched to cvh manifold (head tapped for cvh stud pattern)uprated valve springs FRS head gasket (had head skimmed for perfect mating. re sat valves while was there. NEW water pump and cam belt also changed 18 months ago if that)FRS head bolts 2. 0 one piece plastic inlet FRS injectors FRS spark plugscosworth 4 x 4 t 3 with escort t 3 rear housing (for ease bolting to exhaust)cosworth group A cone Kn N air filter RS turbo scorpion exhaust system (lambda boss added)baileys oil breatherbailys header tank
oil cooler with thermostatally rad & twin fansfront mount intercooler 044 bosch fuel pump
s 2 quaiff diff inside mk 3 casingmk 5 pedal & quadrant AP 4 paddle clutch
running on megasquirt the car made 245 bhp and 225 ft/lbs. hardly any lag. only running 9/10 psi
bad bits arepassenger lock was attempted to be broken in to (i disconnected the actual lock so cannot be opened with the key)when reversing if you come up off clutch quick (as its a paddle clutch. it happens) you hear a clonk. its alternator bracket touching s 1 arb as its custom-made bracket (quite posh lol) so can run zetec alternator still. to fix it just needs bracket ground back a tad. gearbox has a whine (i abuse this car as its build intended and drove to japfest the other week. the box is not on last legs in my opinion therefor not ever a concern for me)gear linkage is sloppy as you may expect.
