Car was purchased locally from Columbus Motor Company 1300 5 th Ave. Columbus Georgia by Mr. H. L. Sims (deceased) on 6-17-1948. The car has had two other owners (both deceased) and was out of operation from the mid 60's until the late 80's. We purchased the car Aug 23 1987 and initially restored it to it's original condition and placed back in full operation in late 1989. As time and money permitted the car went through a slow metamorphosis to its present state of completion in the summer of 2001. It is powered by a . 30 over 283 ci engine with a 350 transmission and a 348 gear rear end. Ventage air. Cruse Control. VDO gages. Aodiovox sound with a hidden antenna have been added along with the custom interior. Paint is a base coat/clear coat done in 2001 and shows very little wear. a custom bra is used to protect the paint while traveling. The car rolls on 16 in Centerline wheels with Good Year tires and handles comparably and with the comfort of the 60's/70's Oldsmobile. This is a show/driver and is ready to drive anywhere anytime.

My wife and I purchased the car on her 52 nd Birthday as a renewal of our long broken enjoyment of our first 1948 olds in 1956. My wife passed away last year and I no longer have a desire to keep the car. My interest has changed to a smaller car or pickup of the 20's/30's. I will sell the car outright or possible trade for one of my interest of original or equal condition. I am asking 24. 00 but will consider any reasonable offers.

In case of cash sale funds must be safely deposited in my back account prior to my release of the car. In case of a trade there must be an exchange of a notarized title/bill of sale(depending on the State's requirement) and a copy of the current vehicle registration.

The car is ready to drive anywhere although I give no warranties. The car is currently garaged near Columbus. Georgia and may be taken out for inspection/test drive anytime by appointment during daylight hours.
