Due to loss of dry storage. Im forced to put my Spider up for sale. It is an ex Californian left hand drive model in ivory/cream. with black interior. It arrived in the UK in 1990. and I believe its been dry stored since (apart from the last 6 months)It has recently had both outer sills and lower rear wing panels replaced for the mot last month. and the centre sills were very solid (being from a dry state) and were rust treated/painted whilst they were fully accessible. The bodywork is generally very good. with only a few small blisters. the trailing edge of the boot lid being the worst affected. the n/s/r wheel arch has a small blister. as does the bottom of the drivers door. The hood is a near perfect mohair type. with a vinyl tonneau cover The interior (although usable) could well do with some tlc. the door panels are warped. dash cracked. and the seats could do with recovering. The car has matched Goodyear tyres on Cromodora alloy wheels. which are worn evenly. The car should be tax exempt for this year. but DVLA saw fit to date it as a late 1976 model (even though it got emissions tested in America in the February of that year?!) so it will be tax exempt for next season (unless date of manufacture is proven to DVLA beforehand. )The gearbox suffers from the usual old alfa crunch into 2 nd gear (unless you are careful) but is generally quiet The engine has decent oil pressure. is smoke free and doesn't overheat etc. and has always started first time. The injection has been replaced to twin sidedraught dellorto carbs on solid mounts. with trumpets and a pan type pipercross air filter. All in all. a very usable classic for the summer. which with a bit of tlc will make a very tidy example that will only increase in value. The car is available for viewing at most times
