1932 FORD 5-WINDOW COUPE HOT ROD -
‘AMERICAN GRAFFITI'
"Where were you in "62 ?"
(This is how my car came out in 1997 - see photos of the yellow coupe)
1932. 5-window coupe with rumble seat.
Body in fibreglass.
Full steel box frame set inside.
Interior in black tuck & roll.
Rumble seat in black.
Set of Moon gauges.
Piston gear leaver.
Swage Line chassis with transverse springs. Original 32 rear spring. chrome drop ‘I' beam with split radius arms.
Rear axle is Chevy 10-bolt with chrome ladder bars.
Engine: Chevy 327 ci Edelbrock Performer Aly Heads with roller rockers.
4 Rochester carbs as on Graffiti Coupe (the chrome headers could do with re-chroming.
I have made a pair of exhaust cut-outs that work from inside).
Two-speed power glide built by Al O'Conner for street and strip.
The coupe was built 16 years ago as ‘American Graffiti' Coupe clone (see photos).
This car could be returned to exactly the same as it was built or you could put your own stamp on it!
The ‘bad bits': the car is 16 years old and could do with a tidy-up.
There is a whisper of blue from the right hand exhaust on tick-over but this has been present for a good few years with no change.
The back axle does have a slight whine but I do have another ring gear and pinion for it.
The car is currently on SWORN.
