British import with Canadian collector status. Fabulous Caterham Super 7 Sprint de-Dion. with all the best factory Sprint options. and factory paint in black. This is the long cockpit version with adjustable leather buckets and adjustable pedals. Little used and shows it! This example has not been raced. no accidents and carefully maintained. It is truly wonderful to experience. bringing a smile every time I drive it. The main attributes to this Caterham are as follows: Ford 'Kent' motor showing 155 bhp at the rear wheels (approximating 175 bhp at the flywheel). Red lined at 8000 rpm. there is bags of torque from very low down. This is not a 'peaky' motor. SPR Engineering. who were the favoured Caterham fast road engine builder at the time built the motor and it is likely stronger now than when built. I have the original build sheet. 711 M block. steel internals. roller rocker top end and fuelled by a pair of Weber 45 dcoe carbs. The engine starts immediately. loses NO oil. never overheats and maintains strong oil pressure when being used as it was meant. Titanium flowed exhaust and titanium 'Raceco' silencer.

Close ratio 5-speed box in lightweight aluminum 'Flowtech Racing' casing and aluminium bell housing.

de Dion rear suspension incorporating LSD.

Caterham HPC wheels 16"x 7" having Toyo tires.

Long cockpit chassis with leather adjustable seats and shoulder harnesses.

Full 'high-visibility' weather equipment (never used). 2-piece tonneau. Side wind deflectors.

No disappointments with this Caterham. drive it home anywhere in North America or I will practically assist with shipping. Seller is a senior who is meticulous with maintenance. Remember. this is a Caterham assembled car and shows it in all its details. If you want the best early Caterham. you have found it.

I have the original build sheet and spec. also the original Caterham build sheet together with a file 1" thick with info. pertinent to this car. I am happy to scan and send these if asked.
