Ford : Model A hot rod basic

 I built this 1929 bodied 1930 registered Model A Tudor a few years back. I have decided to sell it as I rarely use it ( 710 Miles only since build ). As you can see from the photos this wasn't a thrown together "Rat Rod build ". don't get me wrong I love Rat Rods. but this is kind of a mix between the two and more a traditional rod. The body started as a fair rough body of which I installed replacement panels and removed dents rust etc. The frame is an original 1929 Model a frame fully boxed. lengthened slightly. and kicked in the rear to provide better stance. The Mustang 8. 8 rear end is supposed to have a Richmond Locker mechanism in it ( I was told by previous owner ) and I believe this to be true. as I can hear it ratcheting on tight turns. The engine was a pretty stout build 302 roller engine. with roller cam. lifters and rockers. The heads are Ford 289 ( I believe 1966 ) with about $2000. 00 worth of head work including valve job. The Tremic 5 speed comes from a Mustang. as well does the aluminum drive shaft. Cooling is via aluminum radiator. and electric fan. The steering box is reversed Corvair. the front drop axle is a new tube type. and supports Chevy type disc brakes on new repo. early Ford spindles. The wide whites are Cokers in front and BFG Silvertown Radials in rear. The 2 seats are basic small buckets. mounted directly on the floor. the pedals are also mounted on the floor. and this is actually quite comfortable for me at 5 foot 7 or so inches. I have had taller people sit in car and find it does fit them ( 6 footers ) . but better come sit in it to be sure. The clutch is a Ram hydraulic unit. the starter and alternator are also new aftermarket items. All in all this rod made me pretty proud as a builder and driver. I have many more projects to build. and therefore somebody is going to gat a hell of a deal. This is a no reserve auction. so once started it will sell to the highest bidder.
