Hot Rod Pickup, Street Rod Truck, Chevy Street Rod Truc for sale
Current customer rating:
Up for auction is my SWEET 36 Chevy FB pickup. This is a driver. but prob. ranks in the top 10 in the U. S. in driver catagory as a 9. I would not sell. but I just bought a coupe & I can't keep em all. so.
This pickup was built by a gentleman in California who took very much time & care in the building. He started with a pristeen Arizona truck with ZERO rust. (The truck still has the original ash bow under the dash & working 78 yr. old winshield crank & cowl vent!) I could write pages on the fine details of this truck. but the below pretty much summs it up.
Body - Cab w/working windshield crank & cowl vent. oors. ood tops & sides. rille. eadlights & stands. amp running boards all original equ. (Door handles are shaved w/remote poppers. ) All glass. ubber. elt & feather boards were replaced w/new. The fenders are fiberglass & the bed is a Mack replacement with oak & s/s strips. I have the original bumpers. but they need re-plating. I like it w/o the bumpers.
Chassis - Original with Mustang II type TCI IFS w/tubular A arms & Aldan coil overs. dropped spindles. ower disc rotors. power rack. paralell leaf rear. Gas tank is mounted under the bed in rear.
Engine - Stock 350 with Vortec heads cooled by Walker radiator w/built in a/c coil. pollished aluminum intake. webber carb. . block hugger headers. taylor wires. & basic billet dress up including valve covers. chrome alt. /air cleaner/etc.
Transmission and Drivetrain - Stock GM TH 350 turning an 8. 5" Ford rear end w/power drum brakes.
Wheels and Tires - Vintage Steel Rally Sports with chrome center caps & trim rings. Fronts are 15 x 6 & rears are 15 x 7. Meets are BF Goodrich TA Radials P 205/60 R 15 front. P 225/70 R 15 rear.
Interior - I-Did-It tilt column powder coated black w/ woodgrain Grant Banjo steering wheel. Classic instruments gauges mounted in a custom aluminum pannel. Glide seat covered in black ultra leather (w/battery box & storage under flip up seat). Seat belts are installed. All trim & dash has been powder coated black with s/s screws & fasteners. s/s rear view & peep mirrors. Lokar shifter & e-brake lever. Dyna-Mat under tight weave black Porsh carpet & Chevy rubber mats for protection. Dyna-Mat under black fabric head liner. Vintage Air blows cold!
Electrical - Ron Francis wireing kit. 10 inch original equ. hallogen headlight bulbs w/turn signals built in. oval tail lights. one wire chrome alternator. Optima battery. power windows. remote door poppers. large electric fan.
Conclusion - I looked for a 36 FB for alot of years before finding this one & purchasing it in 2007. I wanted a truck to promote my machine shop business & chase parts as well as make an occational local show or rod run. She drives like a sports car & pulls plenty strong with the stock 350. I have never been dissapointed in this ride. but as I have stated. I can't keep em all.
