This car has clearly been very well looked after. it has been stored for the last 10 years. and has only covered 4. 00miles in the last 20 years!

BODY & PAINTWORK
When we purchased the car. it was in fantastic shape. with no corrosion.
However the paintwork did look a little tired. so we decided to have a full professional repaint in the original Diamond White
(we have many many pictures of the car before and during the repaint to show the car had no corrosion)!

As you can imagine. the bodywork on this car looks simply fantastic.

The white is very bright. with a nice deep gloss finish…. The repaint was not carried out by a ‘back street' painter. it was carried out by Norfolks premier Body Specialists at a high cost.
We have added the Series 1 RS Turbo style ‘SE' graphics. as we believe they really set the car off. but these can be easily removed if preferred.

All the ‘usual' places to check on a MK3 Escort. are in fantastic order. battery tray. inner wings. sills. boot floor etc…. They are all in fantastic and original order.

It is extremely rare to find one of these cars in this condition. especially without any corrosion. and with an original white hood that is in this fantastic condition.
The hood does not leak at all. is still a bright white and the original white hood cover is also present and in great condition.

The RS Style bodykit which was fitted from factory on these rare models. is still in great condition. with no splits or damage.

A fantastic looking cabriolet which has been lovingly cared for all its life.


INTERIOR & TRIM
The interior of the example is simply superb.

Seats are without any signs of wear. and you could even say they look ‘as new'.
All blue pinstripes on the seats and doorcards are bright and without any damage.

The carpets are again. in fantastic condition. without any rips or stains.

The dash is in fantastic condition. with only a couple of very tiny cracks. which are not visible.
The doorcards are without any damage. warping or ‘lifting' at all.

Headlining is also perfect.

The only non standard item. as pictured. is the stereo headunit. however this will be replaced with the original headunit.


ENGINE
The 1. 6 multi point injection engine runs perfectly. just as you would expect with the low mileage.
Engine is extremely quiet. and gives very good performance.

It starts first time and does not smoke at all.
A full service has just been carried out. including all belts. filters. oil. etc. and a new fuel pump was fitted after draining of the fuel tank.

The car drives very well. pulls well through the rev range and through each gear.

Completely original with no modifications at all.


RUNNING GEAR
This car drives incredibly well. extremely smooth. and quiet.

Whilst being serviced. the car had a full check over. of brakes. suspension etc. and new front brake pads were fitted. along with a brake fluid flush.

The gearbox is nice and ‘tight'. with no problems engaging any gears at all.

The car is currently undergoing a full service. and this will include a full check of all suspension and brake components. for full piece of mind.
Any new parts required will be fitted. and this listing will be updated with a list of all new parts fitted once completed.

The wheels have been professionally refurbished by ‘The Bodycentre Limited' of Norwich and look perfect.
