Originally Delivered to New Zealand. This Large Renault underwent a major restoration in the late 1980's & early 1990's at which time it had the current open touring body fitted to it. The car in additional to a full mechanical restoration has been rewired & generally put into fine fettle.

The car is in excellent mechanical condition with the Magneto having been replaced with a coil & distributor set up for reliable operation. These large Renaults have strong reliable engines that are a pleasure to drive & were very advanced for their time.

The body is a well constructed 7 seat open tourer fabricated from aluminium panels on Ash framing. Twin occasional seats fold out from the bulkhead making is a versatile vehicle for group outings. The car has a large beige hood covering the interior & also has a little used full set of side screens for inclement motoring conditions. The seats are finished in black buttoned leather; being both capacious & commodious.

The car sits on wooden artillery wheels & has a side mounted spare. A full set of tonneau covers comes with the car. conveniently split so just the rear may be left covered when driving solo or two up. A period luggage trunk sits on the back. A hood back keeps the furled hood tidy in the down position.

The car is finished in a red & cream colour scheme with the chassis also being painted in red. There is plenty of lovely exposed brass to keep polished on dreary winters evenings. The Lamps are CAV items & a loud brass horn of German origin is fitted.

Ready for summer & the road; the car is a pleasure to drive. The gear box is the usual sequential Renault arrangement with the gears being in a line one in front of the next. Reverse is Engaged by moving the lever rearwards. Performance is decent allowing one to flow with modern traffic on B roads & the engine has sufficient capacity to make light work of hills. Braking is adequate & the steering taut. The car is VCC Dated. certificate number 2477.
