EQUIPMENT
PAS. Electric windows. CD player. Sports steering wheel. Quartz clock. Interior lighting. Wood trim. Lockable glove compartment. Heated rear windscreen.

EXTERIOR
Finished in timeless metallic silver. this cracking E9 coupe presents in solid. useable condition. The paintwork has a good shine and considering the car is now 42 years old there are relatively few marks and imperfections. What's more. all panels line up as they should. and the doors close with a reassuring thud.

Having received paint in the past. this CSi could benefit from a little time spent bringing it up to scratch. Having said that. all of the bright work and trim pieces are in great shape. the rubbers are scuff-free. and the glass and lights are free from any chips or cracks.

Overall. a very nice example of these increasingly hard to find and desirable E9 3. 0 CSi BMWs. with a great period feel.

INTERIOR
The interior is in excellent order. The front seats. upholstered in dark blue leather. display only minimal wear. and the rear seats present like new. The dash and door cards are also very good with zero marks to be found. Similarly. the wood trim adorning the fascia. doors. and instrument cluster remains in perfect order.

Opening the boot reveals a large and tidy luggage area that still has a complete tool kit and spare wheel.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The major factor in the feel of a BMW is its six-cylinder engine. and in the 3. 0 CSi it is equipped with fuel injection. launching the car from 0-60mph in just 7. 7 seconds.

This particular example has been meticulously maintained throughout its life. and mechanically has wanted for nothing. Under the bonnet everything appears just as it should. with all components in fine fettle. The four-speed manual gearbox is a pleasure to operate and performs well.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
This example is equipped with a set of period 14-inch alloys. All of the wheels are in good order. with only minor wear and curb marking to note. Each one is finished with a chrome centre cap featuring the BMW emblem.

The wheels are shod in a matching set of Pirelli Chrono tyres. all present with a good level of tread remaining.

HISTORY FILE
Originally supplied by Swansell Garages Ltd in Coventry. this CSi was registered on 1st September 1973. Just 1. 07 miles later the car received its initial BMW inspection at Burton & Deakin Ltd. Kent. From then on it went on to be serviced at close mileage intervals. with no less than 16 stamps in the original Service Booklet.

Since the last service stamp at 64. 37 miles. the E9 has been treated to over £46k worth of parts and labour. Present in the history file is an impressive stack of invoices. detailing extensive amounts of work that have been carried out over the years; everything from restorative work to general maintenance and servicing. Unsurprisingly the car is mechanically excellent.

Accompanying the extensive history is the original blue BMW Document Holder. complete with the dealer-supplied Service Booklet. Owner's Handbook. and warranty cards. Present also are numerous recent MOT certificates plus an original Sales Brochure.
