EQUIPMENT
Alloy sports wheels. Lockable petrol cap. Large front spoiler. Cigarette lighter. Ash tray. Analogue clock. Oil temperature gauge. Courtesy light. Adjustable passenger door mirror. Spare wheel.

EXTERIOR
This remarkable VW is finished in Silver Green metallic. The paintwork is good throughout and on the whole is free from dents and scratches. with only a few minor areas of touching up plus a couple of insignificant dings to report.

The exterior is in largely original condition giving it a great patina. and while not absolutely concourse. all the trim around the car is in very good shape with the chrome brightwork still retaining its polished finish. Undoubtedly the car is well presented and still benefits from all of the original glass carrying the VW/Audi logos. with no visible signs of corrosion anywhere to the paintwork.

INTERIOR
The car's cabin is a comfortable and refined place to be with the Storm's black leather upholstery providing a supple yet supportive interior. The front Recaro sport seats display only a minimal amount of wear to the bolsters and. if really pernickety. the leather is beginning to sag a little in the centre of the rear bench.

The leather Wolfsburg steering wheel is in wonderful condition retaining its texture from new. much like the factory wooden gear knob. The deep pile carpets are completely unmarked and the headlining is immaculate aside from a small tear in each rear pillar. Furthermore. opening the boot and lifting the carpet reveals an unmarked spare wheel.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
This example has only covered a mere 19. 08 miles in its life. which is consistent with the state of the engine bay. Displaying signs of only age-related surface corrosion. under the bonnet is very tidy indeed with all plastic and rubber components showing zero signs of deterioration. Another nice feature is the chassis plate. stamped "West Germany".

The engine produces silky smooth performance at speed and idles perfectly up to temperature. The 5 speed manual gearbox feels light and accurate shifting through the gears.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
The 13" alloy wheels present in nice original condition and maintain the car's patina. They are shod in a matching set of Firestone Multihawk tyres. each with plenty of tread remaining.

The front and rear brakes are in perfect working condition and make little effort to bring this stunning hot hatchback to a standstill.

HISTORY FILE
This Scirocco was first registered to a Mr Lewis on 16th May 1980 and has covered less than 20k miles since it was supplied new by Cheshire Brothers Limited VW. Bebington. Originally purchased as a birthday present for Mr Lewis' wife. the car was stored from 1998 to 2010. when it was then acquired by the current owner. Since that time. the vehicle has benefitted from several new components including a cambelt and water pump. and is complete with a handful of corresponding invoices.

Present with the vehicle is the blue VAG document holder as well as the Service book. Instruction manual. Consumer guide. and Service System handbook. all original. Included also is the dealer stamped service coupon. stamped receipt for the balance of payment plus Mr Lewis' original insurance cover note dated 15th May 1980.
