Toyota : Land Cruiser FJ40

 Hello you guys.  THE VIN NUMBER IS FJ40145447.  The F engine is the original engine.  I found this 1973 FJ40 in South Dakota last year. It was on a ranch since new. A gentleman bought it. kept it in his garage for 6 months and then sold it to me. I shipped it down here to Temecula and passed it along to my client since I already own a few other cruisers. My client asked me to lightly restore it for him. I took 4 months. completed the job and then shipped it to him in Austin Texas. That is where the Land Cruiser is now and that is where it will be shipped from when the auction is over. My client needs cash for an emergency personal matter and will not be able to keep the Land Cruiser. His loss for sure. your gain as this LIGHT RESTORATION has just been completed by me less then 1 month ago and less then 50 miles have been put on the cruiser since I shipped it to Austin. The Land Cruiser arrived to me in very good. all original condition. original paint. original F motor with compression of 150 psi ( plus or minus a few points ) straight across. Very solid and well taken care of F motor. There are many things that we did to the cruiser but kept it. for the most part. in nearly complete stock condition as you can see in the pictures. Dune Beige is one of the most beautiful. sought after colors that Toyota produced.  The original Dune Beige was in such good shape on the interior that some of it was never repainted by me. We tried to keep a portion of this Land Cruiser in its original condition. non-restored. It came out great and is extremely beautiful and well balanced.  It runs great also. Good Transmission. Transfer Case. Good Brakes. F Engine is solid ( with all receipts of everything that I did to it. Much of what I used came from Specter Off Road in Chatsworth. California. Electrical is all in good condition. all lights work including the back-up light. We replaced some of the weather stripping but most was in very nice condition and did not have to be replaced. COMPRESSION ON ORIGINAL F ENGINE IS 150 PSI ( plus or minus a few ) STRAIGHT ACROSS. ENGINE IN GREAT CONDITION. No issues with the cruiser. everything is in good running condition. I have the reserve set fairly in my opinion based on the cruisers condition and current market value.  Any questions that you have. let me know and I will post them for other bidders to read.

SOME OF WHAT I DID TO LIGHTLY RESTORE THE CRUISER:

*ran new wire for a few lights * replaced numerous old nuts and bolts with new from Specter Off Road * replaced antenna. radiator cap. new fender bolt kit from SOR. new engine decals * replaced all fluids ie: transmission. transfer case. engine. front and rear differentials. new coolant * new clips and weather stripping in both doors * sand blasted and powder coated original steel wheels x 5 * sandblasted numerous other parts during the resto process * new mat in cargo area * new SOR headliner * painted and repaired most of the exterior and most of interior * raptor coated complete frame and rear cargo area black * painted where needed the additional area's of undercarriage * sand blasted and powdercoated bumperettes * new stock front bumper from Cool Cruisers of Texas * new custom upholstery for all 4 seats. matching exactly the original oem design and color * 5 new steel wheel hub caps * new trans boot * 5 new BF GOODRICH 33 x 10. 50 x 15 All Terrain T/A tires are still under warranty with only 50 miles on them * sand blasted and restored air cleaner * new cargo rubber mat from Cool Cruisers * new license plate light * new back up lamp solenoid * complete install of OLD MAN EMU LIFT AND SUSPENSION KIT ( cruiser raised only about 2 inches. very nice. ride is fantastic. very stable ) * new rear emblem * new cargo latches * repaired interior lamp * repaired and rewired heater box ( heat blows warm when needed with no issues ) * All lights function as they should * All ORIGINAL DASH PAD in amazing condition. nbsp;NO cracks at all * NEW REAR MAIN seal re-placed * MANY MANY other details attended to and parts replaced. ALL RECEIPTS will be given to the winning bidder. GOOD luck bidding. Anyone who gets this Land Cruiser. in my opinion. will be happy. I have owned over 30 Land Cruisers since 1974. This is indeed a nice one. in excellent condition to its core and in my opinion. could travel anywhere in the United States tomorrow with no issues. The pictures will give you a good idea of its condition. I ( and my client ) can't give this Land Cruiser away but we have set the reserve fairly based on the market and the condition of the cruiser.
