A fabulous example of the original Cooper S. Built on 26 th June 1964. this Austin has the 1071 cc engine fitted to the ‘S' between the start of production in April '63 and August '64. It was first delivered to Marshalls Limited. Peterborough.

Today it remains in its original colour scheme of Almond Green with an Old English White roof. and Porcelain Green with Dove Grey interior. It wears its original steel wheels. Importantly. it also retains its original ‘numbers matching' engine.

It is in every way an extremely original car with all the correct parts. including the original jack. It is equipped with a heater and twin fuel tanks. along with some delightful period additions including a reversing light. heated rear screen. Moto Lita steering wheel (original wheel is included). LW/MW radio and superb reclining seats (correctly trimmed).

In the late nineties this Cooper was subject to a total restoration encompassing every aspect of the car. After 15 years that restoration has settled in nicely leaving the car in an absolutely beautiful. yet usable condition.

We have paperwork detailing all its previous owners. copies of the original buff logbook. plus the important Heritage Certificate.

The car drives superbly. with all the expected vigour of the Cooper S model.

There is nothing required of its next owner other than to enjoy owning and driving what is perhaps the rarest and most desirable of the classic Minis.
