1980 international scout traveler turbo diesel loaded excellent shape

thank you for viewing my scout. this 1980 model was the end of the line for the international light line of trucks. mine was born on july 28 1980. i did some horse trading and ended up with this truck. as you can see in the pictures it is in outstanding condition for its age. it has the original plaid 1970 s interior which is in very good shape for a truck of this age. the body is also very good because of being here in new mexico. most of these scouts just rotted away into pieces. this one is nice and clean. i took some pictures of underneath so you can see how clean it is. the turbo diesel engine starts with a push button glow plug and runs great. very little smoke. no blow by and runs smooth with no weird noises. the truck is equipped with a standard shift 4 speed syncromesh transmission that shifts great. also 4 wheel drive both high and low range. the scout drives down the road excellent. does not wander or pull. i cruise around 55 mph and get over 20 miles to the gallon ! the tires on it are new with aggressive tread design. all the windows are good and work like they should. the top can be removed but i dont think this one has ever been off. this scout has many options including : air conditioning ( ice cold ). tilt steering. deluxe all interior. power steering ( one finger ). power brakes. center console. trailer towing hitch. wheel covers. power loc rear axle. sliding rear windows. and more i cant think of. the line setting ticket is in the parcel compartment. the odometer states mileage to be 95. 00 miles. i believe this to be accurate but i cannot say for sure. look at the pictures and judge for yourself. nothing leaks fluid on the scout with the exception of valve cover ( very little on back corner ). all fluids are full and clean. engine oil and filters ( it has 2 ) have just been changed and all fittings lubricated. all lights work including the reverse and plate lamps. all instruments are working with the exception of the oil pressure gauge. i checked the circut by grounding the sender wire and the gauge never moved which would indicate a open in the wire or faulty gauge. the doors do not lock. i dont know why. some nice person punched out the button on the tail gate. ut it has been repaired but does not lock either. all in all this is a hard to find scout in good shape that drives good and is ready to use and enjoy. i do have clear title for it. the scout can stay here for as long as you need. as long as it is paid in full ( inside my garage ). please feel free tyo ask questions and i will try to answer them the best i can. please see my feedback and bid with confidence. i can help load on your trailer or transporter. i have a VERY REASONABLE reserve on this scout. so bid to own it. thank you !!!!!
