Current customer rating:
Selling my 1982 Jeep Scrambler CJ-8.
I would describe it as a "barn find" It sat in a carport for a couple years before I got it. Clean Florida Title.
It is a 258 straight 6 with a 4 speed.
Motor starts right up and runs strong.
Sounds good. no smoke. no knocks or noises. has a GM HEI distributor.
Prob could use some carb tuning as it sat for a long time but Idles and runs out good.
Clutch is strong and transmission shifts good with no grinds.
4 WD works good. Hubs engage and disengage as they should.
Steering and front end are good.
Like new BFG all terrain tires.
Brakes work fine but one of the calipers drags a little so may need a rebuilt caliper. The frame is solid.
(I tried to take good pics of the common spots). The pan is pretty solid also.
It was rhino lined a long time ago and it seems to have preserved it pretty well.
Tailgate area good also.
The body has the typical cancer: Behind front wheels. rocker area. quarters. bottom of windshield frame. (Brand new frame included). Fender flares dryrotted.
The Hard doors are included.
This Jeep is well worth restoring as they bring huge $$ when done or just use it as is.
I bought it as a project and just don't have the time anymore.
Please call me with any questions you may have. or if you need me to send you a specific picture of something.
Feel free to come out and inspect.
May be able to deliver in Florida for a fee.
Thanks for looking.
