The Austin 1800 or ADO 17 was launched in 1965 and promptly won “Car of the yaear”. Technically it was hugely advanced and very spacious but its looks were unconventional and it became known as the “Landcrab”. The 1800 stayed in production until 1975 when it was replaced by the Austin Princess.

This car is a 1973 Austin 1800 in Damask red. It has had just two owners from new and was in dry storage from 1998 until 2012 when it was treated to a £3000 refresh including body repairs. a re-paint and an engine overhaul. The condition is very good in all areas and it runs and drives beautifully. The 1800 is a fast disappearing practical classic that is easy to own and run. This one is in excellent order and has the benefit of substantial recent expenditure. Ready to use. Please call with any questions.
