One of the great attractions of the Resto Modding hobby is that it enables the builder to distill his personalized ride down to what he identifies as the essence of the car. In the case of this Resto Modded 1959 Chevrolet Corvette. the goal was to maintain the Corvette’s Reubenesque contours while sweeping them clean of any interrupting details. Smoothed and completely shorn of any unnecessary chrome. the Downs body is finished in Deep Red with White cove accents. The real flash is provided by the extra large diameter Billet Specialties Rail wheels wrapped in Goodyear Eagles. behind which are brightly finished Corvette C4 brakes with slotted and cross-drilled rotors. The smoothed engine compartment is home to a new LS1 Corvette small block V-8 backed by a 6-speed manual transmission and driving a Billet Specialties serpentine belt accessory drive system. The car is built on a full custom tube chassis using C4 independent front suspension and a 9-inch Ford rear end. with coilover shocks providing the dampening. The custom interior showcases the skilled workmanship and creative design of Dave Schober. who matched the smoothed and painted surfaces with hand-stitched White upholstery on the door panels. seats. kick panels and shifter boot; the diamond-tufted seat and door inserts are a trick extra touch. A custom console with Hurst shifter. Auto Meter Classic gauges. Vintage Air and billet controls round out the interior appointments.  EVERYTHING about this car is custom.

At Auction Close

Successful "winning" bidder must telephone 866-403-7310 within 24 hours after the auction has ended to verify purchase and make arrangements to complete the transaction.

Within (4) business days of the end of auction. full payment must be received either by cashiers-check. approved bank draft or certified funds. If funds are not received. and an alternate arrangement has not been made. the vehicle can and will be made available to other potential buyers on a first-come. first-serve basis.

Our Guarantee

We have disclosed as much information as possible about this vehicle and strive to only carry extremely high quality pre-owned merchandise.  Please understand that you are purchaing a pre owned vehicle. We do our best to recondition the vehicle to "like new" status. but there may be rock chips that have been professionally touched up and scratches that have been wet sanded. Earth MotorCars recommends vehicles be inspected BEFORE leaving our facility. If upon personal and/or authorized professional inspection of the eBay purchased vehicle at our facility. the buyer finds a substantial discrepancy between the published report and actual vehicle. we will either correct the problem at no charge. work out a compromise. or refund all monies paid.   The buyer will not be responsible for any eBay related fees and will be dismissed from the contractual obligation with eBay to purchase the vehicle if the inspection proves vastly different from the published ad.

 

Shipping - Transport

Returns are allowed in the unlikely event the vehicle is shipped and you are disastisfied. However. a 10% restocking fee applies. the return must take place within 7 days from receipt and the vehicle must have fewer than 200 miles difference upon return. Return shipping fees are the obligation of the buyer.
