1974 Porsche 911 Targa Wide Body Steel Slant Nose Ideal Restoration Candidate This is the perfect restoration candidate for a Steel Slant Nose 1974 Porsche 911 Targa Top 6 cylinder. Its not often that you find a classic like this that has a good drivetrain and interior. Don't get me wrong. she is no show car. but she is worthy of the restoration that she deserves. This is a very rare 1974 Porsche 911 Targa wide body with a steel slant nose. The car has factory Porsche steel fenders and a factory Porsche rear spoiler. The wide body vents are functional. The car starts with a turn of the key and drives smooth through all the gears. The brakes are all new. new master cylinder. new calipers. new pads and hardware! The original fuel pump had a slight drip so I replaced it with the correct replacement from Pelican parts along with a new check valve and lines. There is rust found in most of the typical areas for a 40 year old Porsche. door bottoms. fenders. floor. fenders. I started to chase down some of the electrical faults and had some success. it will just take some tinkering. The best part is that she runs and drives! This isn't a project car that has to be parked until restored. feel free to run around town in a great looking car while tinkering! The tires are in good shape. the interior needs very little. The original seats are in remarkable condition. a little stiff but good color. the driver seat has a split at an inner seam of a side bolster. The headlights and wipers need some work. The targa top and seals are in great shape except for the typical latch handle. I just use a screwdriver to turn the latch like every other targa owner. There is a hole in the muffler and it will need to be replaced. but it is not too loud as it is. Here is your chance to own a beauty that was so ahead of its time that little change was made to the design for many years. She looks great at a distance and will return the love that you put into her. She could easily be a $30 k car when complete!
