1976 PORSCHE 912 E (coupe) 

Up for your consideration is a classy looking vintage Porsche 912E.  This is a fine example. that is absolutely turn key and ready to enjoy or show. With very low production numbers. this car is extremely collectible. This is 1 of only 2099 cars produced in 1976. Now is your chance to own a piece of Porsche history

EXTERIOR:The car was completely dismantled and sandblasted to bare metal in 2012 (see photos). It was repainted in it's original color. Bitter Chocolate. It has always been garaged and shows as in like new condition. It is free of any major damages. no dings. no dents. no scratches. and no rust. There are two very small paint chips on the lower front bumper that were touched up. and are hardly noticeable. The glass appears to be all original. and is in excellent condition. The original Fuchs wheels are in excellent condition and show light general wear without any damages. The tires are like new with less than 1. 00 miles on them.  

INTERIOR:  The interior is in overall excellent condition. The Beige/Tan leatherette upholstery is damage free and very comfortable. The full carpet was replaced and shows very light wear. The floor mats were replaced and shows as new condition. The dashboard has a couple tiny hairline cracks. The headliner is slightly yellowed and has a small hole repair. Very small flaws. but I wanted to point them out.  

PERFORMANCE:  The car runs 100%. It drives strong. steers smoothly. and stops perfectly. You can buy this car and drive it home across the country without any problems. The engine was rebuilt less than 10K miles ago. It runs like a top. quiet and strong. There is no funny colored exhaust smoke. and the engine does not leak one drop oil. Yes. a Porsche that doesn't drip oil. The braking system has always been properly maintained. and it is working as it should. The gearbox and transmission. both operate smoothly.  

MECHANICALS:  I checked the following items prior to listing: low beam / high beam lights. horn. turn signals. hazard lights. speedometer. odometer. tachometer. temp. gauge. clock. radio/CD. lighter. rear defroster. heater. windsheild wipers. widows. door locks. and door handles; Everything is working as it should. The front hood. rear deck lid. and both doors open and close with no issues.  

SERVICE:  The car has been recently serviced with a fresh lube / points / oil change. nbsp; filter and new spark plugs. It is ready to be driven home.  

PROVENANCE:  The car comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche and it is a "Numbers Matching" car. Included are 40+ color photos of a documented restoration in 2012.   Also included are the service and maintenance records dating back from 1976. The original owners manual and the original dealership brochure are also included with the sale of the car. (See Photos)
