HISTORY
In 1957. Chrysler implemented Virgil Exner's "Forward Look" across its entire product line.
These cars came with the Torque Flite pushbutton 3-speed automatic transmission and Torsion-Aire torsion bar suspension. Fins that swept up from just behind the front doors presented a tasteful boldness.

In 1960 the New Yorker adopted unibody construction. "Ram Induction" and the new version of the 413 ci Hemi V-8 RB engine that upped its output to 380 horsepower (from 325). This was one of just 556 built that model year.

Many 1960 New Yorker convertibles have been modified to become 300 F cars leaving only a few original examples.

This example is equipped with a Flight Sweep deck lid and swivel seats. On this car. only the color has been changed (from Polar Blue to Bluegrass) and front disc brakes have been installed for improved safety.
