Lincoln : Other Zephyr

I built this rat for Rat Rod Magazine in 2013. Meet Roxy a 1937 Lincoln Zephyr Rat Rod. Titled as a 1938. Must have been a left over on the lot and was titled a 38?? Started life as a 4 door sedan that was left to rust away in a pile of pig crap. The rear of the car was GONE. rusted away. I couldn't see letting this go to the crusher so i saved it a breathed in new life to it. Sedan has been cut in half. 1949 ford truck cab back was grafted onto the front half. Thus the first Zephyr truck i've ever seen. Now for the box. something out of the normal. I found a 1957 chevy wagon. same deal. going to the crusher. That was saved and made into a pickup box. thus the 1st ever Zephyr Belair was made. I knew this would stir up the pot a little in the car scene. and it did. The guts of the car itself. powered by a 455 Olds Rocket and backed with a Overdrive tranny. gets in the teens for milage. Depends on who's driving and how hard. Around 400 HP. decent cam. Drivable but mean. Exhaust is run through this killer set of full length headers. open. I like to wear earplugs when driving for any big distance. Ford 9 inch with a spool. Throttle stompers Ladder bar with panhard rod. Rear end is on bags set up for tail dragging. It rolls on bigs and littles. Rocket Wheels with Firestone dragmasters in the rear. protrac's in the front. Has line-loc to work them big firestones. and it works great. Interior was made with a rocket cockpit in mind. All aluminum interior. headliner. door panels. and kick panels all out of deco looking aluminum sheeting. Seats are Iron Ace rod seat. excellent seat. I have logged in many miles in Iron Ace seats. None better for the price. Full gauges. no speedo. Tach. I use GPS when cruising. Tilt telescopic steering column. Northwest wiring and fuse box. Seat belts. B&M shifter . About 500 hours in the build. I also have complete build pictures of this. I drove this in 2013 on the Rat Hard build off Tour from Minnesota to the Cajun nationals in Louisiana and back to Minnesota. Run flawlessly with no problems. Roxy is in the movie released last year. Rat Hard build off drive off. on Youtube. can include a few DVD's and mags that she was featured in.  Time for another build. just like kids they all will leave home some time.  Should mention all parts are new. motor. tranny. front end. air ride. rims. tires. This only has about 8-10 thousand miles since completed.
