Truck is in Colombia shipped out Friday October 3. 2014 should arrive in Florida estimated October 20. 2014.
Volcan 4 x 4. LLC is a classic 4 x 4 importer based in Tampa. Florida and Medellin. Colombia. We have imported and sold 5 trucks so far for 2014 and have 12 in process. This is our first of many restored left hand drive early model Land Rover Series models to come.
We are launching our inventory of these great trucks with our handsome "Alfie" here. Truck is a rare LHD 1960 Series II with original chassis and engine. Color is original shade Pastel Green that we just repainted in PPG Pastel Green.
Truck was extensively mechanically restored in late 2011 by a local shop with 50 years experience working exclusively on early Land Rovers.
We have receipts totaling $3000.
Recently Volcan 4 x 4 reviewed the truck over the past 2 months and added the following:
High quality repaint in PPG including exterior and interior floors Restored galvanized trim 4 new shock absorbers 2 new rear fabric bands Inspected chassis and made very minor repair to rear wing Detailed under the hood Brakes are 100%Shifts perfectly Engine very strong Steering very sharp New battery New exhaust Refurbished alternator 5 new 7. 50 x 16 Pirelli mud tires 5 restored 16 inch Land Rover rims in correct Limestone color 7 new lap belt seatbelts Top and interior less than 3 years old New interior door panels Door latches adjusted
2 correct fender mirrors. 2 Land Rover floor mats and galvanized gas cap are on order.
This is a rare and collectable model year early Land Rover in sound condition. Chassis is original and rust free. We made a very small repair on the passenger side rear wing.
This is not a 10 out of 10 frame off restoration truck but rather about an 80 to 90% correct. extensively restored Land Rover. Remember that this is a 54 year truck that is geared for the mountains and will cruise under 50 mph. This is not a daily driver but rather a collectible family fun vehicle. We request a $5000 refundable deposit to reserve the truck at the agreed price while it is in transit to Florida.
