Seller's notes: "Top has been disconnected from hydraulic cylinders because they worked so slowly. Photos taken just as it started to rain and were rushed. Top pump and hydraulic cylinders have worked fine in the past. Top must be replaced. Lowering price with these considerations."

Current customer rating:
This 1978 Mark V was converted by Carrossier Custom Coach Builders in Dallas. TX. and is believed to be a 2 owner car. I purchased from the Atlanta Estate of a Sandy Springs woman. and have owned for almost 20 years.
The car is designated " Cabriolet Limited Editions -- 1978. #004 " and "Special Edition" on plaques on fender and doors.
It has 71. 00 original miles and starts. runs. drives. stops. and steers like a new car.
For many years the top was stowed down. ready to go to parades and drives in always good weather.
The top will need replacing. but may actually be the original so as to facilitate a pattern.
The white tape in photos covers deteriorated stitching. The rear vinyl window may actually be original as well. There is no rust - no pitting - no tears or cracks in seats. however the original owner ( I was told ) scraped the garage with the left front fender and while it is perfect. the paint is just a shade different where it was blended.
The compressor turns just needs R 12 or Freeze 12 to blow cold. the windows work smoothly ( with the vent addition). the transmission shifts as new. the clock works. as does all options --- the gas gauge does not work. but the "miles until empty" does. and the right turn signal does not click and hold - left works fine. It is a joy to drive! a head turner. with all the comforts of a new BIG car.
The radio was changed before my time - but a 1978 Cassette radio is included. as are the original wheels (not pictured). and another antenna.
The car had spoke hub caps. also included. and I put on the Gold Turbines.
I have also included the owners manual (2). a shop manual. and sales literature on the Lincoln's of 1978 with emphasis on the Mark V.
The car cover is really a dust cover put on it in my garages. and comes with the car.
I have had a lot of "stuff" related to this car --- all will be included in the sale.
Regretfully my age. and "downsizing" does not permit me to keep the car.
Lowering price in consideration of the need for a top and "tinkering" needed to top pump and hydraulic cylinders.
Only ebay users with credentials and history will be considered. and payment is expected in cash or cashiers check with suitable allowance. in time. to have the check clear.
