When looking at the market to see what the next best thing is. you must take into account rarity. useability. beauty and heritage. This model has all of those. the 1991 Porsche 928GT Manual.

One of the last of the manual 928 GTs. which those who should know say was the best driving 928 ever - one of less than 60 made for UK market. Detailed and comprehensive service history. with a fully stamped up Porsche service book. loads of invoices and all previous M. O. T. s together with Original Porsche book pack. sales material. road test and price list. just ticked over 100k miles which equates to about 4000 miles a year.

Unlike many this car boasts correct mint Design 90 wheels with proper tyres and original mirrors. Full set of tools including unused Space saver spare wheel. original lightweight jack and Porsche compressor. luggage net. load cover etc
In October1991 when it was delivered by Main dealer Lancaster Cambridge. this car cost over £20. 00 more than a 964!

It was the very top of the Porsche range then and is today still an awesome machine. Its pure lines have not really aged and the driving experience of this very powerful 330bhp front engined GT is second to none. made all the more special by the much sought after manual dog-leg gearbox.

This particular car is rare being finished in gleaming Basalt black with a black Nappa leather interior and black carpets. The GT has the special big bolster electric sports seats and this one also has heated seats with Lumbar adjustment.
The bodywork is in excellent condition with no scuffs. dents or corrosion. and likewise the interior leather. carpets and trim are in great shape with minimal wear There is a little wear to the piping on the drivers seat but this could be easily rectified.

Standard equipment includes Air/con. which is ice cold when required. electric sun roof. a limited slip diff and cruise control. It has a more modern but unobtrusive Kenwood CD AM/FM radio wired into the original multi speaker system
Importantly in its last 2000 miles the car has been subject to a complete re-commissioning by 928 Guru Paul Anderson.
Anything that was needed was done and the invoice. which is in the comprehensive history file. came to well over £8000

A list of the main work carried out is as follows;
Full major service including cambelt and waterpump change
All engine and gearbox fluids drained flushed and refilled
New clutch fitted including Pilot bearing
New HT Leads. distributor caps and rotors fitted
All vacuum hoses and pipes checked and replaced where necessary
Front cross member removed to enable new engine mounts and sump gasket to be fitted
Lower rear cross member removed to enable replacement of high and low pressure fuel pipes plus fuel tank breather
Front and rear brake flexi hoses replaced with Goodrich braided lines
Steering rack removed and rebuilt with new gaiters
Exhaust removed and X pipe fitted – great sound!!
ECU recoded to non cat mode
New auxiliary drive belts fitted
New front shock absorbers fitted
Full 4 wheel alignment
Reconditioned Air con compressor and new condenser fitted system regas and test checked 22nd May 2014
New aluminium front undertray fitted
New door rubbers and side strips
So all the issues that can be a worry with 928s- cambelt. engine mounts. clutch. shock absorbers. brake lines. air con. have been dealt with and the new owner will not be faced with any large bills.

The value of this very rare car can only rise and to have such a superb driving machine which is also a sound investment makes a lot of sense
It comes with a long M. O. T with no advisories. and is ready for daily use. An incredible machine.
