here we have my dads 1953 chevy belair. he has owned this car since 1993 and has used it on a regular basis. and it has been kept in a heated garage. it is in exactly the same condition as when he bought her. he has took a liking to my shoebox ford so she is now up for sale. so good points first! the interior is perfect. as is the headlining. carpets and door cards. no cracked glass. all gauges work including the speedo. the engine is smooth and super quiet (just fitted a new water pump for him) the chassis is near perfect. as is the floorpans. the brakes. steering and suspension are spot on. bad points. the gearbox is whiney in 1 st gear but quite as a mouse in top. the thrust bearing is noisy to. these have been like this since the day he bought her and hasn't bothered him. I never did these jobs as I wanted to stick a v 8 in her. but he wouldn't let me near it!! the paint is respectable. but tired. as is the chromework. but it is a straight solid old girl that has given him years of fun (me to) it is tax and mot exempt and very useable. running a straight 6 motor still with the 6 volt. phone 01494 452486 or 6 or 2. all major credit/debit cards accepted,
