Club Coupe Super DeLuxe for sale
Current customer rating:
Hello and thanks for looking at my 1941 Club Coupe Super De Luxe.
I originally purchased it for my Father for Christmas. as it is identical to his first car.
The problem is that at 84. he is not able to use a car without power steering and so it is time for it to have a new home.
After my purchase. I had the brake system completely overhauled and a new wiring loom installed so that the lights would work.
And they do.
It does not have turn signals but it does have a very cool shaved trunk lid with electric switch to open it.
It has what appears to be VW Beetle seats in front and the stock rear bench seat.
The rest of the interior is in need of total restoration. as are the gages.
At some point the color was changed from yellow to silver and remnants of the yellow paint are throughout the interior.
The vehicle had enjoyed an engine swap to a Buick V 6 at some point prior to the last owner's purchase.
It gets remarkably good MPG and has sufficient oomph to satisfy those who are not focused on the drag strip.
A new automatic choke carburetor was installed to make cold starting much easier.
It has the automatic transmission from a Buick V 6 of similar vintage (mid-1990's).
The body work has both lead and Bondo patches in the typical places. and the paint is certainly presentable as a "10 footer".
The tires are old and dry. but have good tread.
All in all. it is a fun driver but may certainly be considered a fine candidate for a full restoration.
I have a small collection of additional trim pieces for the interior and exterior.
The vehicle is being shown to interested parties in the Naples Florida area. and seller reserves the right to end this auction early in the event of a local sale.
There is no warranty expressed or implied with this vehicle. but I can guarantee that it will put a smile on your face when driving this American classic!
