Rare early model 1960 Land Rover Series II. This truck was built in England and imported into Barranquilla. Colombia via freighter "Brittany" arriving September 2. 1960.
Truck was sold to Dr. Angel Hoyos Gomez on September 23. 1960. We have extensive history file on this truck.

Truck is being imported into Tampa. FL in July 2014 all import fees paid by the seller.

Volcan 4 x 4. LLC based in Tampa. FL and Medellin. Colombia is importing this rare Land Rover nicknamed "Alfie" in order to launch our upcoming inventory of classic Land Rovers sourced and restored in Colombia.
We can source left hand drive rust free Land Rovers from Colombia's mild mountain climate.
This truck was extensively restored with documented receipts in 2011. The mechanical restoration included rebuilt engine. transmission and steering components.
The chassis is completely rust free. The only thing keeping this truck from being a $40. 00 10 out of 10 restoration is the paint which is about a 6 out of 10 quality. Note the galvanized trim was painted over.
This can be removed and clean or replaced with easily found trim parts. Regardless this is a shiny rust free Land Rover in a great original color 1960's green.
The interior and top are new as of 3 years ago.
Volcan 4 x 4 performed the following recent upgrades:
1. carb tune 2. new lap belts for 7 passengers 3. new shocks and rear fabric axle bands 4. new Pirelli 7. 50 x 16 military tires 5. new exhaust 6. restored original 16 inch rims painted in Limestone
This truck starts quickly and runs very strongly. Stops straights. Transmission shifts smoothly. Truck has mountain gearing so is very quick up to about 50 mph where it runs out of gearing.

This is a FUN truck and my personal favorite. I would love to see Alfie stay in Tampa to roam the Florida beach boulevards! A great opportunity to own a rare. affordable and collectable Land Rover that will certainly gather a lot of interest at the British class car shows.

July 2 st update. Truck should arrive Tampa late July or first week of August.
Just replaced the battery. I was driving behind the truck at 40 mph in another truck of mine and noticed the wheels were not true. Rather than further restore 50 year old rims I will include 4 new 16 inch period correct rims from Roversnorth ($400 plus shipping). We can paint them the correct Limestone. I will order a new 5 th Pirelli 7. 50 x 16 matching tire too. Roversnorth has nice floor mats for $90 and 2 folding side steps for $200. The rear mat is brand new. I just dont like the basic rubber mats I have up front. We are polishing the paint. I will upload new photos. Great truck thanks.
