1956 DeSoto Fireflite Base 5.4L for sale
Current customer rating:
Up for bid are two 1956 Desoto Fireflights. One is original with 13. 18 documented miles on it. The engine was removed by the previous owner who bought it from the original owner. He wanted the engine for his hot rod. I bought a wrecked Desoto for the engine and other parts that may come in handy. The original car is amazing. The frame is clean and the original paint in the engine bay from the factory is a nice silk black. I also have the radiator and the torque converter which also has a nice silk black factory sheen. The car has been sitting out in the open air for awhile so it has a few dings here and there and a few rust issues as seen in the pictures. The front floor boards are rusted through as far as I can pull up the carpeting. Rear floor boards and trunk area are good. Minor body work. front floor pans and paint and an interior is all it needs. A frame on restoration. The parts car that I bought for the engine was restored in about 1996 and had 207 miles on it.
The front clip was wrecked and the frame is slightly bent inward. The rest of the car seems good other than it's rust issues which include the front floor boards. Back floor boards are good. The car can roll on its wheels. Both cars windshields are cracked. Stainless trim is fairly good on both cars. I have the 330 cu inch Hemi V 8 that I want to keep for a future project but would consider selling for an additional price. I reserve the right to end this auction early as I have it listed in other publications for sale locally. Terms are $500. 00 deposit within 48 hours of action close and the rest in cash or certified funds. Any questions will be answered asap.
I can deliver the vehicles any where in the Southern California area for an additional fee.
