austin a30 classic modified hotrod historic

For sale reluctantly is my freshly rebuilt 1955 Austin A30.

Completely stripped to bear shell in 2012. nbsp;all bodywork taken care of and fully resprayed in

Speedwell Blue with white roof. fully photographed during strip and rebuild.

Newly built 1275cc A series engine and 4 speed gearbox. Engine rebuilt with Kent 266 uprated camshaft and followers. duplex adjustable timing gear assembley. Cylinder head has been ported. skimmed and 3 angle unleaded valve seats fitted with new valve guides and seals. New water pump. new alternator. new spark plugs. eads rotor arm. cap. points and condensor.  New oil and filter.  LCB tubular exhaust manifold and custom stainless exhaust system. alloy inlet manifold with rebuilt 1 3/4 SU carb. new K & N conical air filter. Alloy finned valve cover. New electronic fuel pump. New 3 piece clutch kit. Stainless steel braided clutch hoses. New pacet electric cooling fan.

MG midget pedal box assembley fitted. all new handbrake assembley and linkage. MG midget rear axle lowered 2" with uprated springs. Midget front and rear anti roll bar linkages fitted. Front Midget disc brake conversion. All new copper brake pipes fitted with goodridge braided hoses. Overhauled calipers with new discs and pads.

MG midget 13" Rostyle wheels all in good condition with 4 good tyres.

MG midget seats and dash. new carpet set. Midget 3 spoke steering wheel. Speedwell wooden gearknob.

Absolute fortune spent. probably things ive not mentioned but cant remember everything its had.

There are some spare bits and pieces that will come with the car including spare wheels and tyres.

Comes mot tested and taxed. drive away with no problems.

Could do with odd jobs to finish. some interior bits and bumpers fitting. I have bumpers but ideally could do with re-chroming.

Rebuilt by qualified. retired motor vehicle technician and classic car enthusiast but unfortunatly. a change in circumstances mean it must go which will be a real shame but im certain someone will have great pleasure and enjoyment from this little classic.

The car has been professionally converted to run on unleaded fuel so no messing with addatives at the fuel stations.

Mot tested and road tax exempt.

Car starts and drives great. handles really well but is still comfortable enough for a long journey.
