This vehicle is a 1972 Double Sliding Door Panel Van or a "Double Slider". These VW Type 2b (1972-1979) vehicles are exceptionally rare and there are very few examples in the United States. They were by special order only and were very expensive to import. This bus was owned by my father who parked it in his backyard in 1989. This bus was running fine when he parked it. It has not been started since. Here is what it comes with 2 extra front doors. extra deck lid. front bumper and a rear split bench seat. I have an offer of $12. 00 right now. I explained to the collector I would post this bus For Sale until June 15th when I will return to California and will accept the highest offer at that time.
