Current customer rating:
1983 Mercedes 240 D.
Vin # WDBAB 23 A 7 DB 398296.
VERY. VERY LOW Mileage. since MAJOR restoration!
I am selling this car for an elderly gentleman who is liquidating his collections of MBs!
You are looking at a 1983 Mercedes 240 D. which was kept as part of the collection.
He has saved the best for last.
Approximately 7 years ago. car was completely remanufactured. NOT REBUILT! This was a ONE OWNER CAR that was disassembled machinery wise. and all new Mercedes parts used to bring it to ZERO TIME! Corrosion free body was taken to paint shop. where all trim. grill and head lights were removed. and car was painted with base coat. clear coat.
Than car was completely
painted
again as all door jams had to be included.
This car was owned by Senior FBI official. and was always GARAGED.
Remember this car is not a Rebuilt. and no body work was required.
Car originally had approx 175 k miles. This car is excellent example of this model.
New A/C system was installed. which included 134 compressor. Drier. Evaporator. and this new system blows ICE COLD! Gauge Package was sent to speedometer shop in FT LAUDERDALE. where it was completely cleaned. rebuilt. and calibrated back to zero time.
Car was used very lightly. and now shows approximately 1500 miles.
Remember. this is as close to a frame off restoration as is possible! Interior is excellent. with no wear. as the photos show.
Under carriage is "Superb".
If you have been looking for one of these "Iconic" automobiles. than look no further as there will be no disappointment in this acquisition! All mechanical work was accomplished by A Mercedes Master certificate technician who can be contacted with any questions you might have.
Remember. Included in "Remanufacture" is transmission. strut shafts. brakes. wheel cylinders. complete new bushings. bearings. seals. belts. hoses. clamps.
There is nothing the car needs.
Sun roof works perfectly. and all work and bills totaled over $15. 00.
So bid with confidence. and good luck! Further questions. call Doug 1- .
Remember. If you ask "WHY" this was done. the answer is easy. the man who purchased the car is a collector. and wanted a "TOP NOTCH" example of this model. hence. all the work!
Reason for selling. Death of one of family members!
8500 starting bid!
This is an AS-IS Where IS transaction! No warrantees implied. You Bid. You Win. You Pay! If you don't plan on paying. please don't bid.
